My work consists of limited edition and one of a kind handwoven shawls and scarves. Through my 40 years of weaving I have tried many weave structures, palettes and fibers. Ten years ago I began weaving eight and 16 harness block twill. To my surprise, my inspiration became mathematical formulas and number sequences. The result of combining this weave structure and these various formulas has captivated me. I am in awe of the symmetry, order and balance produced. I use only the finest fibers such as tencel, tussah silk, organic cotton that I source from West Texas.

I finish each piece with hand twisted fringe, then they are hand washed and finally hard pressed. This finishing gives each piece an unsurpassed drape and sheen. It is my goal that my shawls be seen and worn as unique works of art; both visually and tactilely pleasing. That they be the focal point of any outfit is my aim. My current work is weaving rooted and classic, not trendy.
